This two hour workshop (with 15 minutes of question time) is offered to parents of teens who are generally coping with parenting but want some further strategies. The workshop offers solutions to parents to assist their teen continue to behave appropriately, and help their teens feel confident in coping with the challenges of being a teenager. It also looks at important teenage milestones such as encouraging a teen to become independent, and demonstrates proven techniques parents can use to maintain good communication and harmony with them.

As a result of the rising cost of living and the relative comforts of home, children are tending to continue to live with their parents into their late teens and early 20s. Because of this, it is important for parents to begin to alter their parenting style to allow their teens to start to take on adult responsibilities and lifestyles, while still living in at home. This 1¼ hour workshop offers parents some strategies to assist them have a harmonious relationship with adult children without compromising anyone’s quality of life.
